  • Simon Chamberlain

    VOCAL

    Simon Chamberlain is a professional Singer, Musical Theatre performer and educator who holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music Studies in Vocal Pedagogy. As a teacher, Simon works with students of all ages and abilities, but now focuses primarily on adolescent singers at several of Brisbane’s most prestigious schools. Simon previously worked at Edge Hill University in England, where he taught private vocals and Acting through Song to all students in the Bachelor of Musical Theatre program.

    Most recently, Simon was appointed as a Rockschool Examiner through the Australian Music Examination Board. As a performer, Simon has appeared in various musical theatre productions, including Jesus Christ Superstar and Rent, cabaret shows and corporate events. Highlights include regional and national tours in Australia, United Kingdom, and Guest Entertainment aboard Cruise Ships.

    ACTING

    Brooke McElligott completed her Bachelor’s in Musical Theatre at the QLD Conservatorium of Music in 2015. Following university, she began her professional performance career touring parts of Australia with various companies such as Brainstorm Productions, The Grin & Tonic Theatre Troupe, The Entertainment Store and most recently, touring Suzie Miller’s, Chroma Town with Queensland Theatre in 2022. In March

    This year Brooke completed her first international touring contract travelling across Indonesia and Singapore with cruise line company Cunard on board The Queen Elizabeth. In 2018, Brooke worked alongside the Queensland Symphony Orchestra as a lead musical performer in Cre8ion's production of The Magic Watering Can. In the years following she's been heavily involved with various singing, cabaret and acting roles for multiple Brisbane Immersive shows.

    Brooke has starred in commercials for Domino’s and Bank Of Queensland and the short film, Home for The West End Film Festival. In 2020 Brooke began her voice-over career recording multiple roles in Wishful Bedtime Stories for the Brisbane Festival and more recently recording voiceovers for CQUniversity. Last year Brooke had the honour of being professionally cast as ‘Juliet’ in Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet with 4MBSClassic. This role held a special place in her heart as it was her first role at The Bundaberg Playhouse Theatre.

    Alan White

    INSTRUMENTAL

    Alan White, co-founder of the Gold Coast City Wind Orchestra, returned as Director of Music in 2019, leading them to victory at the Queensland State B Grade Band Championships. He has an extensive history of success, directing bands in New Zealand and Australia to wins at State, National, and District Championships. Alan has been selected for representative bands, performing at the 1990 Commonwealth Games and the International Bands Festival. He has won over 35 championship titles as a Soloist, Director of Music, and performer. Alan is a highly accomplished musician, adjudicator, and educator, having achieved three music diplomas and providing specialized tuition to students. Additionally, he has achieved three music diplomas at associate level and above, including being the first brass performer to attain the Dip PP AGM qualification with top scores.
